I've always had a deep love affair with food. I mean, who wants to settle for bland, uninspiring meals like plain chicken breast and broccoli? Not me! I crave the excitement of bold flavors, the thrill of spices that make my taste buds do a happy dance.
But you know what? It hasn't always been smooth sailing on the foodie journey. I've struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember. Hormonal imbalances have been a constant companion throughout my life. At the young age of 23, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's, but the symptoms had haunted me for years before that. And if that wasn't enough, perimenopause hit me like a ton of bricks right after my twins were born, throwing my body and emotions for a wild ride.
I used to be on a never-ending cycle of diets, always trying to shed the extra weight. But when I got hit with the reality of being in peri-menopause, it was like my life fast-forwarded by a decade. That's when I had a massive mindset shift—I knew I had to change.
I started searching for ways to truly nourish my body, not just starve it. I wanted to find an approach to exercise that felt good and sustainable. It wasn't about deprivation anymore; it was about embracing my body's needs and honouring them. And you know what? It worked!
I shed over 30kg and, despite my hormone imbalances, I've been able to maintain my weight. It's been a journey of self-discovery and finding what truly works for me. And now, I'm on a mission to help other women. Those who are tired of the never-ending cycle of calorie restriction and excessive exercise. I want to show them that there's a better way—a way to nourish their bodies, find balance, and create a sustainable lifestyle.
Originally from London, I've found my home in the vibrant city of Singapore, where I live with my amazing husband and our three beautiful boys—yep, I’m a twin mum! Combining my passion for food and my passion for health, I decided to embark on a journey of sharing my knowledge and experiences. I'm here to prove that healthy eating doesn't have to be boring or tasteless. In fact, it can be downright delicious!
So, join me on this flavoursome adventure as we embrace the joy of nourishing our bodies while indulging in the amazing world of taste and spices. Let's break free from the dieting mindset and create a lifestyle that's both enjoyable and sustainable.
Welcome to my world where food and flavour reign supreme. Together, we'll show the world that healthy can be absolutely mouthwatering!
